Application is open to host DojoCon 2016!

Once again it’s that time of the year! We are looking for Dojos to express their interest in hosting DojoCon 2016, the global CoderDojo mentors conference. It’s an important event in the CoderDojo year and we appreciate all those that take the time to apply and for considering to organise this event! DojoCon,  a conference for the community of CoderDojo volunteers, presents a fantastic opportunity to connect the generous and kind people who are at the core of the movement and to further develop how CoderDojo operates worldwide. At the event, ideas are shared both from within the movement and from industry leaders through keynote talks and through workshops to develop new ways to inspire at CoderDojo.

All proposals will be judged by a panel made up of representatives from the CoderDojo Community, past DojoCon hosts and the CoderDojo Foundation as follows (line-up subject to change):

  1. Bill Liao and James Whelton (CoderDojo co-founders)
  2. Mary Moloney (CoderDojo Foundation CEO)
  3. Giustina Mizzoni (CoderDojo Foundation Head of Development & Coolest Projects Liaison)
  4. Cyril Treacy, CoderDojo Foundation Board of Directors Member
  5. DojoCon Founder – Eugene McDonough
  6. Previous DojoCon Hosts, 2015 or earlier
  7. CoderDojo Community Committee Representative
  8. CoderDojo Community Committee Representative
  9. Coolest Projects event organiser (TBC)

Proposals must be submitted by 12pm midnight (GMT) on Sunday the 25th of November 2015.

**Deadline extended to: Sunday the 29th of November at 12 midnight (GMT). **

We will take a week to review all submissions and announce the 2016 host on Monday the 7th of December 2015.
