Details

We'll be using the micro:bit single board computer to explore water in the desert from 9am-12pm Monday through Friday at Watershed Management Group's Living Lab and Learning Center (1137 N Dodge Blvd, just north of Speedway Blvd).

We'll take a deep dive (pun intended) into water harvesting basins and you'll have an opportunity by the end of the week to create your own water harvesting project with a micro:bit.

Native Trees and Plants

Details

We'll be exploring the trees and plants that are native to the Sonoran Desert and how they benefit us, starting Monday, 24 June, and running through Friday, 28 June, at Watershed Management Group's Living Lab and Learning Center from 9am-Noon each day.

We'll map native trees using the WMG survey app; create our own apps and games using Scratch, game components, or a 3D printer; and explore the City of Tucson's interactive tree map.
