Learning a new skill can be a great way to stay positive and motivated, particularly during challenging times. That’s why our online courses are ideal for volunteers looking to upskill.

1. Programming 101: An Introduction to Python
This awesome course is ideal for anyone looking for a basic introduction to Python. You will explore basic programming concepts such as sequencing and repetition, produce your own program to solve a simple problem, and much more! This course is available now.
2. Teaching Physical Computing with Raspberry Pi and Python
With this course, you’ll develop your knowledge of simple electronics and computing, using the Raspberry Pi and Python. Not only will you get an introduction to the Raspberry Pi, you’ll also get to play around with LED’s! If you have this equipment at home and haven’t tried it out yet, then now is the perfect time. This course is available from 7 December.
3. Scratch to Python: Moving from Block- to Text-based Programming
Most CoderDojo Ninjas begin their coding journey with Scratch, and the transition to text-based programming can be a challenge for some. We spoke about overcoming this challenge in another blog piece from last October.
With this course, you’ll explore how you can transfer programming and thinking skills from Scratch to Python. You’ll also be given tools to support children’s learning. This course is perfect for CoderDojo volunteers, or parents of young people, who are looking to progress their learning at home. This course is available now.
