Looking back on 2018 – A year in review

It doesn’t quite feel like twelve months have passed since I wrote my 2017 end-of-year blog. Like all years I’ve been involved in CoderDojo, 2018 has been a year of much change and growth across our movement. First things first: we welcomed 660 new Dojos to the community. CoderDojo Foundation Annual Report 2017

We are delighted to release our Annual Report on the activities and success of the CoderDojo movement during 2017. We celebrated 6 years of CoderDojo, supported Dojos in 92 countries, launched the Girls initiative with the goal of increasing the number of girls in the movement towards gender parity, we released our second book, and our global conference Dojocon was held outside of Ireland for the first time.  In May we joined forces with the Raspberry Pi Foundation to create one of the largest sustained, global efforts to help young people learn computing and digital making. Coolest Projects International Travel Bursary: Deadline Extended!

We’re accepting applications for those seeking to receive a bursary for travelling to Coolest Projects International 2018 from across Europe. Last year young people traveled from 17 countries to attend the event, and this year we want to help even more young people travel to Ireland to participate!
