Celebrating European Code Week with our 5th Annual EU Dojo

On October 17th, the fifth annual EUDojo event was held in the in the European Parliament in Brussels. CoderDojo, who recently reached the milestone of having 1,500 coding clubs in 75 countries worldwide, hosted the event along with Ludick Niedmeyer MEP*. The event coincides with the fifth year of Europe Code Week. As part of EUDojo volunteers, and parents from across Europe were invited to participate along with 40 young coders who travelled from Belgium, Bulgaria, Italy, Ireland, France, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Spain and the United Kingdom to the EU Parliament to showcase their coding and technology skills. Launching the 2017-18 European Astro Pi Challenge!

Astro Pi is an annual science and coding competition where school-age youths code is run on the International Space Station! We want to inspire as many Ninjas as possible to further their interests in space science with code! The challenge is open to CoderDojo clubs and schools in all ESA member countries (most of Europe) including Canada and Slovenia. Launching Eventbrite Integration on the CoderDojo Community Platform

The CoderDojo Community Platform (Zen) enables Champions, Co-Champions and those with Dojo Admin rights the ability to create ticketed events. However, some Dojos already use Eventbrite for helping them organise and manage their Dojo events and we want to make sure parents and young people can find and book into all events easily.
