CoderDojo Coolest Projects is a world leading showcase that empowers and inspires the next generation of digital creators, innovators, changemakers and entrepreneurs. Young people from CoderDojo clubs around the world will descend on the RDS Simmonscourt, Dublin for the opportunity to present the projects they have designed and built at their local Dojo. Announcing the hosts of DojoCon 2018!

DojoCon is the annual global conference for CoderDojo Community members. It is an opportunity for all those who volunteer their time to support, organise and Mentor at Dojos to meet, share their experiences, develop relationships and learn from each other. This years DojoCon saw Community members travelling to Warrington; from Belgium, Bulgaria, France, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Spain and the UK to learn new insights and skills to bring back with them to their local areas. CoderDojo Foundation 2017 Q3 Report

Throughout the third quarter we focused on contacting community members about approaches and resources they use to engage girls in their Dojo sessions. From late August through to September we released resources and advice for Dojos returning back after the summer break as part of our #BackToDojo campaign. Get involved in our December 2nd Hackathon!

Last July we ran our first Content Hackathon, which focused on translating our learning resources and materials from English into other languages. It was a 24 hour effort, giving everyone a chance to participate for a few hours no matter where they were and involved CoderDojo Community members from all over the world. What’s happening at DojoCon Japan 2017?

On Saturday, November 4th DojoCon Japan 2017 will welcome over 300 CoderDojo Champions, Mentors and Ninjas from all over Japan to celebrate open source programming education. Though admission is free, tickets are already sold out! Job Opportunities at the CoderDojo Foundation

CoderDojo is a global movement of free computer coding clubs for young people. The first Dojo was started six years ago, and there are now more than 1500 active Dojos in 75 countries, giving 45000 young people the opportunity to learn how to code in a fun, social environment. The CoderDojo movement is supported by the CoderDojo Foundation, a registered charity based in Dublin. In May 2017 the CoderDojo Foundation joined forces with the Raspberry Pi Foundation.
