CoderDojo Foundation report Q1 and Q2 2018

The first half of 2018 was incredibly busy for us, from taking over the running of Coolest Projects International, to focusing on developing resources for new and existing Dojos! We verified 363 new Dojos in this period, a 24% increase that brings the grand total of active Dojos worldwide to 1860 spread across 95 countries. CoderDojo Foundation Annual Report 2017

We are delighted to release our Annual Report on the activities and success of the CoderDojo movement during 2017. We celebrated 6 years of CoderDojo, supported Dojos in 92 countries, launched the Girls initiative with the goal of increasing the number of girls in the movement towards gender parity, we released our second book, and our global conference Dojocon was held outside of Ireland for the first time.  In May we joined forces with the Raspberry Pi Foundation to create one of the largest sustained, global efforts to help young people learn computing and digital making. Coolest Projects: Empowering girls to be tech creators

In many countries far fewer women than men study STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) subjects and work in these fields. Across 35 European countries, less than one in five computer science graduates is a woman. At the CoderDojo Foundation, we believe it is vitally important that we band together and make a conscious, consistent, and collaborative effort to increase the number of girls who have the opportunity to learn how to create with technology. CoderDojo Annual Survey Results 2017

In November, we opened the CoderDojo Annual Survey. All Dojos running regularly across 75 countries were invited to share their experiences.
