The Ada awards celebrate and recognise the efforts of the top girls and women in technology worldwide. How Ninjas enjoyed the first MegaDojo in Moldova

On the 28th of October 2017, MegaDojo Chișinău gathered 128 children and teenagers interested in technologies of the future, in the capital of the Republic of Moldova. This was the first large scale CoderDojo event in Moldova, dedicated to informal education in IT for children ages 7 – 17. DojoCon is the annual global conference for CoderDojo Community members. It is an opportunity for all those who volunteer their time to support, organise and Mentor at Dojos to meet, share their experiences, develop relationships and learn from each other. CoderDojo Foundation 2017 Q3 Report

Throughout the third quarter we focused on contacting community members about approaches and resources they use to engage girls in their Dojo sessions. From late August through to September we released resources and advice for Dojos returning back after the summer break as part of our #BackToDojo campaign. What’s happening at DojoCon Japan 2017?

On Saturday, November 4th DojoCon Japan 2017 will welcome over 300 CoderDojo Champions, Mentors and Ninjas from all over Japan to celebrate open source programming education. Though admission is free, tickets are already sold out!
