How Ninjas enjoyed the first MegaDojo in Moldova

On the 28th of October 2017, MegaDojo Chișinău gathered 128 children and teenagers interested in technologies of the future, in the capital of the Republic of Moldova. This was the first large scale CoderDojo event in Moldova, dedicated to informal education in IT for children ages 7 – 17. DojoCon is the annual global conference for CoderDojo Community members. It is an opportunity for all those who volunteer their time to support, organise and Mentor at Dojos to meet, share their experiences, develop relationships and learn from each other. What’s happening at DojoCon Japan 2017?

On Saturday, November 4th DojoCon Japan 2017 will welcome over 300 CoderDojo Champions, Mentors and Ninjas from all over Japan to celebrate open source programming education. Though admission is free, tickets are already sold out! What we got up to at DojoCon 2017!

This years DojoCon was our most hands on yet. Dojo members travelled from Belgium, Bulgaria, France, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Spain and the UK to learn new skills to bring back with them to their local areas as well as meeting Community members from near and far to share their CoderDojo experiences. The Europe Code Week celebration is here! Launching the 2017-18 European Astro Pi Challenge!

Astro Pi is an annual science and coding competition where school-age youths code is run on the International Space Station! We want to inspire as many Ninjas as possible to further their interests in space science with code! The challenge is open to CoderDojo clubs and schools in all ESA member countries (most of Europe) including Canada and Slovenia.
