How to plan an Hour of Code activity at your Dojo!
What is The Hour of Code?
The Hour of Code is a worldwide initiative to demystify coding and to give people everywhere a basic introduction to Computer Science. Anyone, anywhere, can organise a one-hour activity in their local community as part of The Hour of Code — so why not host an activity at your Dojo!
When does The Hour of Code take place?
You can host an Hour of Code event all year round, but typically The Hour of Code coincides with Computer Science Education Week in the USA, which will be December 9 to 15, 2019.
Great! How do I organise an Hour of Code event?
If you run a Dojo, you may like to dedicate your next session to an Hour of Code activity! All Hour of Code activities are self-guided and there are plenty of specially tailored tutorials to help you plan your 1-hour session. You may also like to check out this useful how to guide.
Here are two awesome Scratch projects you can try:
Celebrate your achievement
Once you complete your Hour of Code activity, you can recognise your Ninjas’ achievement with this awesome CoderDojo certificate!

You can also share your activities with the wider community on social media! You can do this by tagging @CoderDojo in your post and by using the #HourofCode hashtag.
