Four of the insightful speakers at DojoCon 2018!

We’re excited to announce four more speakers from the exciting lineup of education and industry experts who will share their insights at this years DojoCon. The conference offers current and potential CoderDojo volunteers the opportunity to meet each other, hear from inspiring innovators, as well as trial out first-hand some of the practical programming applications they can develop in their local club to inspire young creators.

 

This year’s CoderDojo community conference is set in the beautiful city of Kilkenny, Ireland and will take place from Friday 19th – Sunday 21st of October 2018. Those scheduled to speak at the main event on the Saturday include:

 

Jessica Kelly

Jessica is Newstalk’s Technology Correspondent and covers all things tech related for the station. She previously worked as a broadcast journalist in Newstalk 106 – 108FM since 2008. In addition she has been a contributor to publications such as The Sunday Business Post, Independent.ie and Tatler.

 

David R. Pollard

David is a founder of Learning Tech Labs and his previous initiatives include CodED Club at Trinity and Creative Engagers Dublin. He currently works as the Innovation Pioneer for the Rehab Group. Education is one of David’s passions and he has completed a Master of Arts in Learning and Teaching and a Postgraduate Diploma in Learning and Teaching in Further Education. David is now immersing himself in the world of assistive technologies, hosting innovation and technology events at BOI and Microsoft on behalf of Rehab Group, and working directly with Hack Access Dublin as a consultant and organiser.

 

Darya Yegorina

Darya Yegorina is a serial entrepreneur, CEO of CleverBooks and other ventures in multiple industries. Darya’s current focus is on emerging technologies for education where she has the mission to deliver the most innovative Augmented Reality technology to schools around the world and to create equal access to technology for kids globally. It is also important for Darya to help other women with motivation to express themselves in business and technology leading by her own example, sharing her own experience and story.

 

James Tubbritt

James is the chief Virtual Reality engineer in Emagine, an award-winning Creative Agency specialising in Digital Content. James himself works in all aspects of experience production. His work in robotics, sound engineering and composing was his entry point into Virtual Reality, which he approaches with a passion.
