BT Young Scientist 2017
Hi! Pete here, I organise all the events that we take part in here at the CoderDojo Foundation. At every event we attend we try to engage and include the local community. For the BT Young Scientist this year we invited CoderDojo ninjas from across Ireland to attend and showcase their awesome projects to the attendees over the three days! The awesome folks over at BT Young Scientist have supported CoderDojo every year by inviting us to have a booth in the Science and Technology display area.

The calm before the storm!
Over the 3 days we had 30 ninjas from 13 Dojos attend with a variety of awesome projects ranging from Maker websites to a self driving car! Each year we try to inform as many young people and teachers as possible, who are attending the event, about the CoderDojo movement.
You can also check out Benjamins (CoderDojo ninja) Blog post on his Dojos site here.
At the booth we also set-up VR, a flappy bird game using a makeymakey and a banana along with all the awesome projects from CoderDojo ninjas that you can see below.
PS if you have an image and attended on the day and want it to be added (I did not get a pic of everyone) please email to [email protected]

Have a Tech Project you want to Showcase?
We are looking for CoderDojo Ninjas to apply to bring projects that they’ve made at their local Dojo to display at our interactive booth at Dublin Tech Summit! The projects don’t have to be categorised and any cool project made at CoderDojo is eligible for application. Once your project is selected, you will be invited to showcase it for one of the days (either the 15th or 16th of Feb 2017) at the Dublin Tech Summit in the Convention Centre, Dublin!
