Hour of Code Digital Toolkit Just Released!

Many Dojos have previously participated in The Hour of Code and this year it will be celebrated from December 5th-11th. However, you can host an Hour of Code event at your Dojo anytime! The one-hour tutorials are available for free in over 45 languages, and no experience is needed.

Disney have again partnered with Hour of Code creating awesome coding challenges for youths including well known characters from Star Wars, Frozen and this year their newest release Moana!

How Can Your Dojo Get involved?

Check out the Toolkits for the Hour of Code below in English and Spanish. A Portuguese version of the Toolkit will be available in the coming days! For more check out the Hour of Code website. The toolkit includes:

• Workshop & Activity Guide
• Certificate of Completion

 

Training Available?

There is a free webinar available to mentors hoping to use the Moana tutorial next week Tuesday, November 29th at 4pm GMT, 8pm GMT and 4am GMT on Wednesday 30th.

• Webinars are in English and available for ANYONE interested in teaching or hosting an Hour of Code with the 2016 Disney tutorial – “Moana: Wayfinding With Code”.
• Webinars will be recorded and viewable for one year following November 29th.
• The tutorial is available free and online in 23 languages. It is web-based and may be tried on a desktop computer, laptop or iPad
