CoderDojo Spain Association @ SIMO Educación

SIMO Educación, the biggest learning technology exhibition of Spain will be held on 19-21 October 2016 in Madrid. The fair is focused on professionals covering a wide variety of sectors including infrastructure and systems, audiovisual, education tools and solutions, telecommunications and Internet, publications and sector bodies. Last year more than 8,000 professionals attended the conference and this year the objetive is to surpass this number. During SIMO, teachers, professors, ICT coordinators, schools, public administrations and visitors will participate in more than a hundred activities over the three days of the fair.

The Spanish CoderDojoAssociation, a regional body of CoderDojo Foundation covering Spain, will also participate in SIMO with a workshop on Wednesday 19th October from 17h to 19h. The workshop will be leaded by Bernat Llopis (CoderDojo Valencia champion) and Miguel Ángel Abellán (CoderDojo Murcia champion and Spanish CoderDojoAssociation president), but will also collaborate champions and mentors from almost all Spanish CoderDojos.

On the day the youth participants will be divided in groups focused on different topics like AppInventor, Robotics, electronics with Makey-Makey, programming without computers and Scratch. The idea is that all children go through all groups so that they can have a general idea of what we do in CoderDojo.
