CoderDojo Coolest Projects & Launch’d Event Tickets Released

The CoderDojo Coolest Projects is both a competition and exhibition that supports a generation CoderDojo innovators, creators and entrepreneurs aged from 7 to 17. The Coolest Projects offers young people the opportunity to showcase the skills they have learned at their local CoderDojo, to a European audience.

In 2015, Coolest Projects awards featured more than 500 entries from young people across Ireland and beyond and attracted more than 5,000 spectators to witness demonstrations their submissions. This year, we are hoping to double the number of spectators and have 800 projects entered in the awards, with 100 of these from outside of Ireland. A European-wide Travel Bursary is available to encourage those with less financial resources to attend.

Launch’d will integrate into the already amazing Coolest Projects Awards, serving as a platform for the participants of Coolest Projects to launch their projects to investors, industry, researchers, students, government representatives and members of the public.

Launch’d both presents the next generation of start-ups and innovators, and validates Ireland as a global technology hub for businesses, start-ups and entrepreneurs. The event gives the European Startup community an open forum to meet and share their ideas and knowledge with one another.It enables businesses to build on opportunities by connecting to our growing tech sector and celebrate all that is Tech Innovation.

This one-day event encompassing Coolest Projects and Launch’d, will showcase Ireland’s vibrant tech industry with young CoderDojo innovators.

The day will also feature talks from industry experts, such as CoderDojo Global CEO Mary Moloney, Dublin Commissioner for Startups Niamh Bushnell, Co-author of the Lean Enterprise Barry O’Reilly and Eoin Costello, CEO of Startup Ireland, among others.
