Full DojoCon 2015 Programme Released!
The full programme for this year’s DojoCon in Derry (Sept 18 & 19) is now up and ready – and you can check it out for yourself at www.dojocon.coderdojo.com
DojoCon is the annual gathering for Dojo mentors and Champions. It’s a chance to share ideas, meet old friends and new, get inspired and learn practical skills to help you in your Dojo. This year the theme is The Creative Coder and the organising team have pulled together a lineup full of exciting speakers and workshop presenters to showcase how coding is used in everything from games to art and music to fashion.
Keynote speakers include

Howard Baker – Editor (Innovations) at BBC Learning will be talking about the amazing new BBC micro:bit and the corporation’s aims to encourage creative digital making through code

Deirdre Quarnstrom – Director of Minecraft Education at Microsoft, who will be joined for a panel on Minecraft as an educational tool by Teacher Gaming (Finland), Maker Studios (US) and a very special surprise guest

Ultra Lab – The Madrid-based maker hub talking about how they’re combining maker technology with the arts
What else can you expect?

CoderDojo Foundation CEO Mary Moloney will host the opening panel with founders James Whelton and Bill Liao

A live Dojo running throughout the event, hosted by Dojos from across the NW of Ireland (so feel free to bring your kids, or even your whole Dojo!)

Over a dozen workshops and hands-on sessions packed full of creative project ideas and tips for running your Dojo.

Two nights of social events and plenty of opportunities to explore the CultureTECH Festival and Culture Night Derry – with free tickets to the huge Minecraft Weekend event.

Insights and annoucments about new projects and tools for the whole CoderDojo community.
