Westwood student creates ‘CoderDojo’ chapter in Round Rock
23rd April – CoderDojo Round Rock
Westwood High School junior Garima Singh has created a chapter of CoderDojo, a free coding club, at the Round Rock TechShop.
Coder Dojo Round Rock meets every Sunday, 4-6 p.m., at the Round Rock TechShop, 120 Sundance Parkway, Suite 350, Round Rock. CoderDojo is a worldwide organization with a goal to teach students coding through local resources and partnerships.
“The importance of coding lies in how empowering it is,” Singh said. “You can do anything you want with code and solve almost any problem in the world. Whenever you come across a problem and there isn’t an existing application for that, you can make it.”
