Join us for #EUDojo @ The European Parliament on October 14th!

 Eu codeweek

To mark EU Code Week, we are running a special event in the EU Parliament which will be attended by MEPs and industry leaders. During this event CoderDojo Ninjas from all over Europe will be showcasing their skills to MEPs and mentoring them so they can write their own first line of code!

This event would not have been made possible without the support of CoderDojo Foundation partners Liberty Global, and event sponsors Google, Salesforce Foundation and Samsung.

Get involved

We are looking for mentors and Champions from all over Europe to bring young people from their Dojos to Brussels on the day of October 14th. We are specifically looking for young people who are eager to mentor, or who already mentor at their Dojo so they can show the MEPs a thing or two about coding!

By joining the CoderDojo Foundation in the EU Parliament, we want you to showcase the skills and creativity present in your Dojo. Young people from all around Europe, as well as their mentors, can teach our MEPs whats cool about code! If you are interested in attending with young people from your Dojo click below!

Apply to attend the #EPDojo!

Note: Only mentors or champions should fill in the form. Bursaries will be available towards travel costs. We will be contacting the Dojos who have completed the form in Mid-September to confirm their attendance and guarantee their place. Filling in the form alone is not a guarantee of a place.

About EU Code Week 11th – 17th October

The idea behind Europe Code Week is to connect local organizations and volunteers and to showcase existing initiatives and good practices across Europe. Code Week was initiated by European Commission Vice-President Neelie Kroes’ Young Advisors, who, together with other local ambassadors, want to see more of their peers actively creating, not just consuming digital content.

Last year Code Week featured 300 coding events involving more than 10,000 people in 26 European countries. This year they would like to scale up to reach millions of women, men, kids and youngsters and give them an opportunity to see the fun of coding.

We encourage all Dojos to join the celebration by adding your next session to the coding map of Europe!
