Excited youngsters attend the D4 CoderDojo crack the code in Sandymount
More than 100 children learned how to develop websites, apps and games at an exciting new workshop.The lucky youngsters gathered at the Star of the Sea Parish Hall in Sandymount, Dublin, for the D4 CoderDojo.The two pilot sessions were run by cable giant UPC in partnership with CoderDojo.One of the star mentors was nine-year-old Lauren Boyle from Foxrock.Lauren, who attends the Teresian School, has only been coding for a year and a half – but was on hand to instruct over 100 young coders in understanding programme languages such as Java, HTML and CSS… By James McNamara via the Irish Mirror.
