Our Awesome Funders; Liberty GLobal!

We are delighted to announce today that Liberty Global plc has come on board as the Hello World Foundation’s first pan-European corporate donor. Liberty Global pledged their support of CoderDojo today to The Grand Coalition for Digital Jobs, a multi stakeholder partnership, launched by the European Commission in response to a projected shortage of up to 900,000 ICT workers.

Liberty Global have been a supporter of CoderDojo in the past, supporting 40 children from 8 EU countries to travel for the first ever CoderDojo session in the EU Parliament! The event, hosted by MEP Sean Kelly was a showcase of the exceptional work by young children who attend Dojos around Europe.

Liberty Global have a number of initiatives to promote a forward thinking digitally skilled society.  Now with this partnership we aim to support an additional 60 clubs to get up and running across key markets in Europe this year reaching over 2000 European youth!

Responding to the announcement, James Whelton, Co-founder of CoderDojo, said,
