First Coder Dojo Dublin

The first Dublin Coder Dojo session will kick off on the 27th of August in Google’s Montevetro Building, Grand Canal Dock.

The doors will open at 11.30, with a session on HTML and CSS (Web Site Coding) from 12.00 to 1. Thereafter we’ll have some free code time, a guest speaker on game development and a session on HTML5 game development from 2.00 to 3.00. Coder Dojo’s close at 4.30.

When you come, you’ll be greeted in the lobby, given a name tag and be brought up to the 13th floor.

Please bring a laptop with you and sign up on this site prior so we have a better idea of numbers.

Happy coding,

Whelton

Update

Body on an email sent out today regarding Coder Dojo Dublin tomorrow:

Hey everyone,

my name is James Whelton, I’m one of the organisers of Coder Dojo, some of you know me already.
Just a final quick email to everyone to confirm tomorrow’s first Coder Dojo in Dublin.
We’re opening the doors at 11.30am and finishing at 4.30pm.
We’re running a beginner session on HTML basics from 12pm to 1pm.
Then we have guest speakers talking about games development, which kicks off at 1.30pm.
Then, for some of the more advance guys, we’re going to do some HTML5 games development/hackathon from 2 onwards.
In the intermittent times, they’ll be open to free coding, showing off what you’re working on, asking advice and getting help.
If anyone wants help in any particular area or wants to be tutored on something (eg basics of CSS), just ask and we’ll sort something out!
Bring a laptop with you and if you have anything cool to demo or show like projects with micro-controllers and stuff, bring it.
Any questions, just email me or [email protected]
See you guys there and happy hacking,
Whelton
