Launching the new CoderDojo website

Today we’re excited to share the new CoderDojo website with you. Our new site design aims to better help you find the most relevant and useful content, whatever your role in the community. It is easier to navigate and find information, so you can stay up to date with the latest news, resources, and initiatives from CoderDojo.

Thank you!

We want to thank all those who gave feedback on the beta version of our website over the last two months. Your input helped us improve elements of the site, copy, and images to better suit the wider community’s needs.

Find a Dojo with ease

For those looking to find a Dojo in their local area — whether it’s on behalf of young people, or as potential volunteers — we have updated the journey to make it easier for you to find Dojos close by.

For those involved in running Dojos, this means parents and guardians as well as new volunteers will find it easier to find and join your Dojo on the community platform. Make sure your Dojo information is up to date so those looking to join have all the correct information they need.

What do you think?

We want to continue improving our new website and ensure it’s as community-led as our clubs are. While you use it, why not take notes and tell us about your experience of it, including any suggestions for making it even better. You can email us at: [email protected] to let us know what you think!

Translating our new site

The new site is available in Dutch, English, and Japanese. We’d love it to be available in even more languages so even more people can learn about and bring CoderDojo to their areas. You don’t need to be an experienced translator to help translate our website and resources: if you are confident in translating from English into another language, and are able to offer your time to help us, we’d love to hear from you.

Finally, we have to say a big thank you to all those involved in developing our new site — from our UX designer to the digital and CoderDojo team who’ve been working and adapting the site to suit the needs of our community. We hope you like the changes, and we can’t wait to hear what you think of the different elements of the new site!
